Hayride Sams is a chapter of the Good Sam Club. We have members from the Shreveport and Bossier City area plus some from the eastern part of the state. For a  number of years we had two couples from the state of Mississippi. We are located close to Arkansas, Texas and Mississippi. We would like to share our love of traveling, camping and fellowship with the ones of you that like to have fun!

We camp monthly. Our campouts are on the second Monday of each month. We try to camp within 100 mile of the Shreveport area. Once a year we try to take a long trip. In May of 2009 we took an extended camp out to Eastern Tennessee and the campers had a great time! We camp monthly for three nights and usually we have a chapter pot luck lunch on Tuesday of the campout, or we go to a restaurant to eat. We have found some great restaurants to eat at over the years. We play a lot of card games plus other games. We do some sightseeing, shopping and visiting with one another. One morning during the campout the men cook breakfast for everyone. We sure have some good cooks! The coffee pot is always on.

If any of this sounds like something you would like to do and you want to camp with us as a guest before applying for membership to see if you don't agree that the Hayride Sams, Good Sam Chapter, isn't the best.

Members are sent a newsletter each month letting them keep up with what is going on in the chapter.

Our Chapter helps with school supplies, etc, for the Johnny Grey Jones Youth Shelter in Bossier City, Louisiana. In the past we have helped with the Rape Crisis Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. We like to share a helping hand to our community.
