2011 Camping Schedule

Ø      Membership primarily (but not limited to) St. Tammany Parish

Ø      Open to guests/potential members who enjoy the camping lifestyle and being with fun loving people

Ø      A CAMP HOST determines where we camp as well as the scheduled club activities for the weekend.  Unless there is a conflict campouts are generally the first full weekend of the month. Some past activities included Friday or Saturday grill night, Saturday breakfast/brunch, potluck, out to eat, shopping, biking, walking, games (dominoes, rummicube) or just sitting around visiting

Ø      CAMP HOSTS have taken us to a variety of campgrounds including but not limited to:  Fairview State Park (Madisonville, LA),  Fontainebleau State Park (Mandeville, LA), Paragon Casino (Marksville, LA), Natalbany Creek (Amite, LA), Flint Creek (Wiggins, MS), Cajun RV (Biloxi, MS),  Mazalea Campground (Biloxi, MS),  Clearwater Campground (Carriere, MS), as well as campgrounds in Gulf Shores and Foley, Alabama during the summer when we have daylight savings time

Ø      More and more retired members are opting to extend their camping time with extra days before or after the club weekend enabling us to spend more time together

Ø      Some members regularly attend the LA Samborees and go for the full week
